RACHEL FIELD and HITTY

Michelle chainsaw-carved "Life Size Hitty #1" in the summer of 2005.  The body, head, and legs are of Douglas fir, while the arms are lodge pole pine.

Big Hitty was sanded, distressed, hand-painted, and antiqued to make her look old.  Michelle's husband helped drill and peg the arms and legs.

Michelle's mom designed and made the clothes.  Dress color was chosen to match Hitty's lips and blush.  The dress features antique lace.
