Michelle chainsaw-carved "Life Size Hitty #1" in the summer of 2005. The body, head, and legs are of Douglas fir, while the arms are lodge pole pine.

Big Hitty was sanded, distressed, hand-painted, and antiqued to make her look old. Michelle's husband helped drill and peg the arms and legs.
