Cranberry House 10th Anniversary Campaign:

Honoring our Past, Building for the Future

Cranberry House is a hub for community engagement on Great Cranberry Island. Everyone enjoys our free shuttle, the Preble Marr Museum and Hitty’s Café. Our popular programs are well attended and museum visitation is on the rise.

However, our archives are overly full and do not have proper environmental controls. We do not have adequate display space for all of the historic items that have been donated to us. Additionally, we struggle each year to raise enough operating funds to support our two paid employees, our General Manager and our Archivist.

Cranberry House needs additional attention and investment to ensure it continues to serve the growing needs of this community now and in the future.

Last summer the Great Cranberry Island Historical Society launched a campaign to raise $450,000 to build an extension to Cranberry House and establish a staff endowment. We are pleased to announce we’ve raised half of this goal so far, and construction has begun. Please will you help us reach our target, to ensure that Cranberry House continues to thrive?

Please be sure to specify your donation is for the campaign by writing ‘Cranberry House campaign’ in the ‘Write a note’ section.

If you wish to make a three-year pledge, please print and fill out this document.
